Flooding backyard fixed

One of our clients was experiencing water retention in the lawn of their property. The acreage was unable to drain to a stormwater easement, so we created one. By digging an open trench along the worst affected parts of the property's boundary, we were able to guide the surface water into a place where it can be pumped out to the council's stormwater easement at the front of the property. The land around was built up using a sand/soil mix to remove any low spots where water could hold. A piping system was installed in parallel with the trench to take the water into a series of pits where a submersible pump was installed. The piping system is able to drain the stormwater easement to a point where standing water is eliminated thus stopping the breeding of mosquitoes.
